US Treasury Yields May Rise To 10 Or 20%
Marc Faber also expressed his view that yields on US Treasury may rise sharply over the next 5 to 10 years due to inflation and oversupply. In his earlier article, "Gloom, Boom & Doom Report," he had indicated that printing money is one way a government silently defaults on its debt. He explained that when a government prints more money, the repayment of creditors occurs in a currency whose purchasing power gets severely curtailed through the money-printing process.

We Won`t See 666 On The S&P 500 Ever Again
"Marc Faber, however, is confident we won't see 666 on the S&P 500 ever again. He says that if we go down by 10-20% on the S&P 500, our money printer Ben Bernanke will flood the market, weakening the dollar and thereby driving up stock prices.
If you are going to put money to work in stocks both market watchers think Japan is the place to be. After a 20 year bear market and despite high-debt-to-GDP levels, the pair think the market has become too cheap to ignore. I Would Rather Be Lightning Up On Positions On The Next Couple Of Weeks Then Buying
"As you know, I have been quite positive in stocks, especially in emerging economies for the last 12 months. I think great valuations are no longer available today the way they were available a year ago. I think that the markets have obviously less upside potential going forward. Now, can we go up another 10% before we get a more meaningful correction or not....we will know it, I guess soon. "They Are Going To Print, Print And Print"
"When the economy's bad, governments pile up these fiscal deficits and they print money to offset the deleveraging of the private sector, he says. They're going to print and print and print. If the economy sours again and especially if deflationary forces take hold, we'll have even more stimulus packages and even more printing. That will bankrupt western governments - not just in the U.S. but everywhere. "

The Debt Trouble In The US
"We went into this crisis with an unprecedented debt level and if you compare for instance with the Depression years...in the Depression years we did not have credit cards, and we did not have unfunded liabilities for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. These are all debts that will come due, that have to be payed by the Government. And eventually this will lead to sharply rising interest rates. In 10 years time I would estimate that between 30 and 50% of tax revenues will be spent on the interest payments of the government debt. And that will prove to be a huge trouble."

There Are Better Alternatives Than US Stocks
"But eventually if you print money, the purchasing power of money will lose value and what will happen is stocks will adjust on the upside. If you believe in equities, I would rather buy Vietnamese shares than US shares because I can make the case that the economy there will grow much faster than in the United States, from a much lower levels admittedly. Gold Will Outperform Paper Currencies Like The Euro And The US Dollar
“Gold's quantity cannot increase at the same rate as you can print money, which will eventually weaken the US dollar. Greek Situation. Bailouts Will Lead To More Monetization In Europe.
"I don't think it will work out, and I think other countries like Spain and probably Portugal will then also have to be bailed out eventually, and it will lead to more monetization in Europe, one of the reason the euro has been so week... The pain of the austerity will be very, very burdensome on Greece, and eventually the economy can not grow with the kind of budget they will have to enact, and under these conditions their currency is way overvalued. And so without the ability to grow, their ability to pay the interest and repay the debt will actually diminish."

CNBC India: S&P 500, Emerging Markets And Sensex Outlook
"If we look at the markets, the S&P peaked out on January 19 at 1,150 then we went down to 1,045—in other words, down almost 10% and many emerging markets are down 10-20% and now we are coming to seasonal strength March-April and so the markets can rebound but I doubt we will make new highs above the January 19 high.
Also for India, the high was 17,790 and then we went down below 16,000. We are now at 16,700 something. We can rebound further but I am not sure we will make new highs and that we are in a correction period and that maybe then we will get some kind of summer rally with a marginal new high. But in general I don’t think that this year stock markets will perform all that well."

"The euro made a new high against the US Dollar at 1.51 on November 25th, 2009 and it was a false breakout move coming out of a wedge. And then we had the big correction down into 1.34. In other words, the US dollar strengthened considerably. Now the euro is very oversold and the news have been horrible. Everything you have read has been a disaster for the eurozone and I think the euro now can rebound to 1.40 before it goes lower."
